hi… i guess?

hi everyone. it's been a long time. like... a really long time. the last time i was actually blogging was back in 2008. wild to think about. almost two decades gone just like that. so much has changed since then. my life, the world, the internet, gaming, everything. but the one thing that never changed was my love for games and anime.

if you were in the sonic fandom but not part of ocean palace, you probably wondered what happened to me. why i suddenly vanished from blogging and youtube. the short version is i had some personal stuff going on, and because of family connections in cybersec, having an online presence wasn't exactly ideal. so i had to disappear. no more blogging, no more let's plays. and honestly, it sucked. i loved doing all of that, and leaving was one of the hardest choices i ever made.

coming back has been... interesting. i'm a lot more careful now, mostly for privacy reasons, but i'm slowly finding my rhythm again. i know i'll never be as open as i was in the 2000s. the world and the internet just aren't the same anymore. the warmth, the friendliness, the honesty we used to have... it's mostly gone. back then it felt natural to share everything. now i'm a lot more cautious. even so, it feels good to be here again. it reminds me why i loved writing and sharing my thoughts in the first place.

leaving the community i helped build was the hardest part of all. we went through so much together from 2005 onward. we basically grew up side by side. those were some of the best years of my life, and the memories i have with so many of you mean everything to me. i know my sudden disappearance confused and hurt people. no one knew what was going on, and there weren't any answers to give... i'm sorry for that. it wasn't something i wanted, and it hurt me more than i can explain. i carried that pain for years. there were nights i cried just thinking about it. but at the time, stepping away was something i had to do.

but hey... i'm back. blogging again feels like coming home. there's so much happening in the world right now, and i'm excited to talk about it. i've also been working on some cool projects with friends that i can't wait to share. i've missed this space and all of you so much. it feels good to have this little corner again where i can just exist and talk about the things i love

things are gonna be a little different this time. i'm not gonna be posting constantly like i used to. life's busy, and most of the community chatter happens in ocean palace now anyway. but i'll be here whenever i feel like sharing something. just going with the flow.

so whether you're an old friend or someone new, welcome to my little corner of the internet. i hope you enjoy being here as much as i enjoy writing here. and don't worry, i'm not planning on disappearing for another decade. at least... i hope not. x
