coming home to myself. my 2000s blog, reborn

i've missed having a space like this. it's a feeling that's stayed with me for years. after years of thinking about it, missing it, daydreaming about it, i brought my old 2000s blog back to life. not as some messy folder of html, images, and random scripts like i used to make them back in the day, but rebuilt using wordpress in my own style. the theme's called babecore, and honestly it feels unreal to see it actually exist. it's beautiful to me.

i've wanted this for so long. a space that feels like stepping into my head. a place that isn't trying to be anything for anyone else. just mine. my escape from the noise and the stress and the constant little annoyances of the world. somewhere i can hang out, write, distract myself, and just relax.

i wanted the site to feel like a place where you can sense me, my energy, my headspace, just by being here, the way old 2000s spaces used to hold a person's whole spirit without trying... almost like stepping back into that time again.

writing meant everything to me in the 2000s. being part of forums, fandoms, tiny communities where everyone had their own weird little corner of the internet. it was the first time i ever felt like i could be my honest self. i've missed that feeling so much. and now i get to have it again, but in a way that actually reflects who i am now.

i realized i needed this again... not just the nostalgia or the aesthetic or the comfort of the 2000s internet, but an actual space outside my own head. i'd been carrying so many thoughts around with nowhere to put them, letting them bounce around until they got heavy. it's not healthy to stay locked inside your own mind for that long.

i missed having a space where my inner voice could actually exist instead of just looping in silence. a place where i could think out loud, let ideas breathe, let feelings settle, use my mind's tongue again. writing has always been how i process the world, and without it, everything started to feel stuck.

so part of bringing this blog back wasn't just about rebuilding something old. it was about giving myself a room of my own again. a little corner where i can talk, ramble, create, vent, laugh, think, or just be. somewhere that feels like me, where my thoughts don't have to stay trapped in my head anymore.

so here it is. my blog, revived. my thoughts, my rambles, my space. it feels like coming home to a version of myself i never stopped loving. and now i finally get to write again, in a place that looks and feels exactly the way i always imagined it.

and now that it's here, there's still a lot to finish. the site's basically done now, but some pages are still missing. life's busy and i'll add things whenever i have the time and energy. i did think about bringing back all my old 2000s posts... the game talk, the reviews, the messy thoughts, the rants, even the times i used to go off on stupid game journos trashing dead or alive... but a lot of that era holds personal pieces of my life, so i decided to leave it in the past. so if you wander around and notice missing stuff, that's why. for now, i'm just happy this place exists again.

i hope you like being here as much as i do.
